Palak opened his Election Manifesto in Singra
State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak has published the election manifesto for the implementation of an aesthetic, humane and smart Singra for the 5 lakh people of the upazila.
He officially opened the 25-page election manifesto at his residence on Thursday (December 4). Palak said that in the last fifteen years, the construction work of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center, Technical School and College, Technical Training Center has been completed in Singra. Knowledge Park and Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium are under construction. These establishments will create employment opportunities for 20 thousand youths in the future. Chalanbil will be developed as an active and happy Chalanbil for future generations. Chalanbil's Smart City will be exemplary all over the country. All effective steps will be taken to develop the locality.
In his election manifesto, the state minister vowed to ensure uninterrupted and standard flow of electricity through the already achieved 100% electrification. He further promised for the completion of ongoing four-lane work on Natore-Bogra highway, establishment of agriculture and fisheries research center, establishment of medical college, upgradation of upazila health complex to 100 beds, construction of modern diabetic hospital and BSIC industrial city.
Upazila Awami League President Advocate Ohidur Rahman Sheikh, Singra Municipality Mayor Alhaj Md Jannatul Ferdous and others were present at the manifesto opening ceremony.
Various plans were highlighted in the manifesto including the establishment of agricultural research center, establishment of medical college, upgradation of hospital to 100 beds, establishment of nursing institute, establishment of mother and child health center, establishment of BSCIC industrial city, construction of children park, construction of knowledge park, construction of habitations for Harijan community, implementation of development projects for agriculture, construction of Singra-Tarash Expressway road and formation of Singra Upazila into 2 upazilas.
In the planning, apart from the overall development and maintaining good governance, with the aim of building an aesthetic and human smart Singra, some other promises were uttered like development plans in the Singra municipal area, special plans to achieve self-sufficiency in agriculture and food, improve communication systems and interconnections, ensuring smart healthcare, implementing equal rights, developing education and creating jobs, developing industries and so on. Through creating employment and business environment, tackling natural disasters and environment protection initiatives, good governance and people empowerment, poverty reduction and social justice, women empowerment and sustainable development, development of tourism sector, creation of sports and cultural environment and implementation of Smart Singra were highlighted.
